Weekly Highlight

KUZIKO: Our wonderful customers, Kadiara, Winnie, and Shannon, joined us at the lounge for dinner. It was a pleasure serving them! After their meals, they asked for a group photo with the Turabizo staff. It was a fun and memorable evening for all of us!

Major Accomplishments

  1. Eric was offered and accepted a new job. This position is based in the US but allows him to work remotely and will provide more support for Turabizo’s operations.

  2. Eric had a video call with Dieudonné and Eliab. During the conversation, they discussed topics like seasonal differences (comparing autumn and winter) and the types of clothing worn in colder weather, along with an introduction to household appliances like washers and dryers.

  3. Eric also had a video call with Olivier and Eliab. During the conversation, they continued their ongoing imagination game in which Olivier creates a “character” inspired by an animal. This week, Olivier's homework is to bring his character to life through a drawing. Currently, the calls with Olivier are focused on nurturing, making sure he feels seen and valued.

Additional Progress

  • Eric, Eliab, and Virginie are fine-tuning the plan for Olivier and coordinating schedules for an upcoming call. During the call, they’ll discuss the project in detail, as well as review overall company progress and next steps.

  • Eliab continues to keep parents informed about their children’s progress by sharing both positive and concerning updates, ensuring they remain engaged in their kids’ lives and involved in decision-making.

Financial Notes

This week’s revenue performance was positive, thanks to generous customer donations. Expenses remain higher than revenue, so we’re grateful for the support and remain focused on finding more growth opportunities.

Here’s a breakdown of this week's costs:

Stories

Eliab’s updates with parents have proven very effective, as many parents are now reaching out with their own insights. Some have reported that their children haven’t been regularly sleeping at home, while others share that their kids are doing well within their families.

This week, Eliab contacted parents with information about their children’s school attendance, aiming to encourage consistency and address any basic needs. Mama Ally recently spotted one of the kids outside in school uniform and notified us that the child had left school without permission.

This open communication is helping us gain a clearer picture of each child’s situation, allowing us to better support them and refine our strategies. We’re encouraged to see parents more actively engaged and increasingly aware of the importance of their children’s education, giving us confidence that they’ll remain committed to supporting their kids’ academic focus.
