Weekly Highlight
GURUKA: This past summer, Honorine (pictured) began participating in our Guruka group activities and has now officially joined our youth mentorship program as the new school term begins. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the program, and the other students are excited to finally have a 'sister' among them. Honorine recently started Primary 2 and is off to a great start this year.
Major Accomplishments
Eric made a significant donation, covering all expenses for an entire month upfront.
We successfully advocated for our students to be allowed to attend full-day classes, rather than the originally recommended half-day schedule. We’re pleased to share that the Headmaster has approved this change.
Moise and Martin completed several major yard projects.
Additional Progress
We are currently developing a plan to help Olivier return to school after facing a series of unfortunate events and behavioral challenges. We're eager to meet with the Headmaster, Olivier’s guardians, and Olivier himself to better understand his needs and determine the best path forward.
Eric is currently refining a new work structure that we’re excited to begin implementing this October. He has fresh ideas for the company's development, including a strategic shift in focus and priorities to better position us for long-term stability and growth. These ideas will be discussed regularly and further implemented upon his return to Rwanda.

Financial Notes
This week, we earned a modest amount from the men's workout team who joined us for breakfast, along with two other customers who came for dinner. We also received a large donation allowing us to cover all our expenses.
Stories
This week, when the teachers announced that students would only be studying for half of the day, Dieudonné expressed his frustration, saying he wanted to study the full day like before. He asked Eliab to advocate on his behalf and for the other students.
We approached the Headmaster, and he agreed to our request. Now, our students are again allowed to attend school for the full day.
We’re happy to see the students’ growing love for learning and their commitment to making the most of their time, choosing education over the streets.
Additionally, Moise and Martin tackled some major yard projects last week, including trimming the front bushes and cleaning the area outside the gate. They’ve done an excellent job, and the space now looks clean and refreshed!
