Week 6
Feb 2-8, 2025
Highlight
Eliab attended a large school meeting with parents to discuss important matters regarding the kids, their education, and various other topics.
Major Accomplishments
Eliab attended a school parents' meeting, where discussions emphasized parental responsibility for children's hygiene, daily routines, studies, and ensuring they have the necessary school materials.
Eliab reached out to all parents to check in on their children’s well-being at home. Many parents answered, while some were unavailable.
We hosted the men's workout team for breakfast on Thursday morning.
Additional Progress
We began purchasing school sports uniforms for the kids. Four have been bought so far, and the remaining uniforms will be purchased next week once all the kids are available to try them on.
Eliab and Eric continued their video meetings over the weekend, discussing Eric’s return to Rwanda and the projects they will focus on upon his arrival.

Stories
One of our kids, who recently transferred to Bukane school, was initially reluctant to join Primary Three and wanted to be in Primary Two instead so he could be in the same class as Moise and Kenny. After learning of his concerns, we sat down with him and explained the importance of not delaying his education by repeating a grade. He understood and agreed to move forward with Primary Three. Eliab then informed the headmaster and teacher, and the headmaster confirmed he could start in the new class on Monday. We are optimistic that he will enjoy Primary Three!
Some of our kids paused for a picture before heading to school. They were excited to hear that Eric’s aunt had donated to support the purchase of their sports uniforms and asked if she would be coming to visit.
